The Task<\/h3>\n

The parking industry is evolving rapidly and moving away from barriers, paper tickets, and manual processes. Today, both businesses and users demand greater flexibility and automation, making digital parking solutions with Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) one of the most widely adopted technologies on the market. <\/p>\n

One of our customers in the parking sector has developed a system where cameras register vehicle arrivals and departures using automatic number plate scanning. The data collected by the cameras must then be transmitted securely and reliably to centralized systems, where it is used for registration, billing, and analytics. <\/p>\n

Nord Technology was therefore asked to develop an IoT-based solution that ensures reliable and secure data transmission from parking sites to the customer\u2019s central data processing environment. The solution had to operate 24\/7 and be designed for outdoor deployment, capable of withstanding harsh weather conditions, temperature fluctuations, and demanding installations. <\/p>\n

The solution<\/h3>\n

To meet these requirements, Nord Technology designed a simple yet robust IoT solution focused on stable network operation, secure communications, and long service life. The solution combines industrial-grade hardware and networking components selected to ensure high uptime and easy on-site maintenance. <\/p>\n

As the edge device, we selected the Taicenn TBOX\u2014an industrial computer designed for reliable operation in demanding environments. For the network infrastructure, Teltonika routers and switches were deployed to ensure stable and secure data transmission between parking sites and centralized systems. This combination enables a highly reliable connection while supporting a secure network architecture for monitoring and remote management. <\/p>\n

All equipment is assembled in a compact industrial enclosure and mounted on a DIN rail, making installation simple and consistent across multiple sites. At the same time, the solution is built to be scalable, allowing it to be expanded and adapted as requirements grow, for example through rollout to additional parking areas or by integrating new features. <\/p>\n
