The processor, memory, storage, power management and key interfaces are already integrated. This makes an industrial SBC a practical choice when a compact computing platform needs to be integrated quickly into a machine, terminal, IoT Gateway or other embedded system.<\/p>\n\n<p>A <strong>System on Module (SoM)<\/strong> contains the main computing functions on a smaller module but requires a separate carrier board to provide power, networking, display connections, serial interfaces and other external functions.
